Afiq

General Info : He started playing guitar since high school. Kurt Cobain was one of his fav guitar player at that time. Watching Cobain on the video with his stage attitude, really inspired him to discover and learn more about guitar. He took few guitar classes on the early days and form a band to gain experiences & knowledges.

In 2006, he moved to Shah Alam to run a studio business. Days to days, he met few cool musicians there and form a new band 'Slaveunit', which he considered as the beginning of his metal journey.

Beside all that, he do some technical writing stuffs, guitar effect sound samples, audio engineering and event management.

Guitar : Ibanez JEM Jr. (name: MIKI)
+ Fender 3w p/up selector
+ S.Duncan JB (bridge)

Greg Bennett GT Flying V (name: VIKI)
+ EMG-Hz (bridge)

My first guitar is TGM strat copy. I bought it when I was 15 from a local store near my hometown. Then I sold the guitar to a friend and bought the JEM for my first gig in 2005. I love the JEM's neck. My fingers feel really comfortable when playing on the fretboard.

The GT is also my fav guitar. I wish to see it in 24 frets. I can easily get my fav metal sound from this guitar because it is stoptail, solid body, neckthru and equipped with EMG-Hz passive pickup on bridge.

Amplifier : Laney MXD120H & Laney 4x12 cabinet (main)
Behringer V-Tone GM108 (practice)
Peavey Rage (home)

I've used so many amps before and some sounds good to me. For the moment, Laney is my fav but I also wish to have a Line 6.

Effects : Behringer V-Amp 2
Behringer Tube Ultragain MIC200 (recording)
Boss DS-2 Turbo distortion
Behringer UD100 Ultra Distortion
Behringer UF100 Ultra Flanger
Behringer NR100 Noise Reducer
Behringer BLE100 Bass Limiter Enhancer

The V-Amp 2 is my magic box. I just can't imagine playing the guitar without it. I might lose my killer distorted guitar sound.

The MIC200 gives me a natural overdrive sound when I boost the gain knob to the max. But I use it mostly on my clean rhythm guitar to get warm tubed sound.

Remarks : The more seriously u took things, the harder the rules became.
