Dennis Green
General Info :
He has been playing stringed instruments since he was 5, studied classical cello for 12 years, picked up his first guitar when he was 10. For most of his teen years he was sure he was destined to be a metal guitar god like do many of us, but as life, reality, and fate conspire to set us on a path, his priorities changed direction. He has been fortunate enough to have a successful career that has consumed most of his time and energy for the last 20 years, allowing him the stability and comfort of a great family life in suburbia.

Guitar :
I have 2 main guitars I use, the first is a 1986 Kramer Baretta which I bought brand new when I was 17. It was produced at a time when Kramer was producing guitars for most of the biggest guitarists in the metal scene, and plays and sounds fantastic still. the body and neck were being made by ESP at the time, and the quality of workmanship is exceptional. It's outfitted with a Floyd Rose, Semour Duncan pickup that really screams, Schaller machine heads and straplocks, and a beautiful flip flop blue paint job that turns purple in the right light.
My second main guitar is a Hamer Sunburst Quilttop with a flamed maple top that I have owned for a little over a year. I was looking for a Les Paul style guitar that would be great for clean, jazzy and blues sounds, and found it in the Hamer. It's one of the Chinese made models, but it is very well put together, extremely comfortable to play , and looks beautiful with the flame top and abalone inlay.
Amplifier :
I use a Behringer V-amp 2 for recording, and my live rig is a rack mounted V-amp pro and a Crate powerblock 150watt stereo power amp mounted in a custom made tweed chassis modelled after the fender amps of the late 50's. I run 4 single 12 inch cabinets using vintage speakers from Fenders. 2 are Jensens from 63 and 65, and 2 are eminence from 1981.
Effects :
All of my sound parameters in the V-amp have mulitiple effect combinations, which are fully programmable using a midi editor and librarian program on the computer, so I store copies all of my sounds for recording and live there. I am using a Behringer fcb 1010 midi foot controller to switch patches, turn effect parameters on and off, and expression pedals.
Remarks : I have just returned to playing and writing seriously after a 15 year hiatus raising my family and working on my busy career as a Chef. I have been writing and recording different pieces covering many genres of instrumental music, from soft jazz to metal and everything in between. I have been more than happy to spend as much time as I have available to play, mostly for my own personal satisfaction and expression, and am thrilled to have outlets and web locations that allow people who love guitar music to listen, download, and enjoy from all the corners of the world. Visit one or all of my web pages and let me know what you think.
