General Info : Edrie Hashim is a guitarist, songwriter and producer. He began to learn the guitar when he was 12 in his home town of Taman Kerakat , Selangor , Malaysia . At the age of 14 he formed his first band called Vision. Then when he was 17, he recorded his very first album with a now-defunt band called Chapters. From there he played live shows consistently all across Malaysia , Singapore and Brunei.

Guitar : I have used and abused lots of guitars….I can only recall my main ones. Washburn N2, what can I say man; Nuno Bettencourt is one of my biggest hero. Cant resist the temptation to copy him! Hahaha! Fender Strat one of my trustworthy no-nonsense-king- of-tones guitar! And Peavey Wolfgang Special which is my c urrent my number one axe. I've just installed a 57' Humbucker on it so it's no longer Eddie Van Halen's. Now it's Edrie Van Hashim's hahaha!

Amplifier : I'm currently using a rack system unit with a VHT Classic Power Amp and a Rocktron PRO G.A.P Preamp. But I all in all, i have to admit that for the longest time, I'm Marshall man, JCM800 will always be my fav amp of all time. You cant go wrong with a Marshall for rock n roll.

Effects : My current rack system is one of the most powerful guitar system that I've put up. I'm 98% happy with it. I would like to tweak it a little further in the near future but so far I'm happy with my current settings. It has been my axe's companion all this while where ever I go. You name it! I will definitely using my system. Overseas shows are non exceptional, I'm sure to bring this machine along. I'm taking no risk, hehehe!

Remarks : Music is just music, man. Just have fun with it. I dont understand why some people got so uptight when they play music. Guitar is just a tool to make music and to connect with people through your passion. There is no number one or number two.
