Guitar : I mainly use my Jackson Dinky with EMG pickups, as well as a stunning 20 year old Epiphone Les Paul Custom which i modified lots including a Paf pro in the bridge, a Ibanez S series upper end model with EMG pickups again, an original early version of a Squier Strat (gorgeous!), a yamaha electro acoustic and an old classical, which is a beaut! I also use a Mexican Tele in the studio for recording, as well as a nice Yamaha bass when im playing bass parts and i also own a really old finest Italian Mandolin! Lush! All the guitars have been tweaked to perfection. I could babble on for ages!
Amplifier : For my main amplification live i use an old Fender Deluxe, as well as a Marshall DSL50 head through a Marshall Mode four cab for HUGE amounts of low end and bass, and for recording and small gigs i use a Marshall AVT275 and a fender 60watt bass amp for clean sounds. Sometimes when im feeling lazy recording i will tend to use plugins! I know - bad me.
Effects : Ha! Have you seen my pedalboard?! I have a custom made board which is about a metre and a bit in length, housing a vast majority of boss pedals in a neat order including a noise gate, delay pedal, overdrive, chorus, eq, compression sustainer, and many other bits n bobs. Also running on it i have a dunlop Wah, and the footswitches to my amps. Its a big board! What can i say? I like my toys!
Remarks : Im a hardcore player, who dedicates every moment of spare time to practising and getting riffs and licks and ideas down. I started playing when i was 13, and gradually my playing has matured into what im doing now.
I study music at the University of Surrey in Guildford, which is an intense but amazing course, and i have learnt so much there! I am probably the most committed guitarist you will ever come across.

I play in a band called 'Rise Above The Ashes', a good old hard rock/shred band and have a couple of other projects going too, especially up here in Guildford. I used to play in 'Teaching The Fallen' if anyone saw us in that. I play a lot of session stuff and do teaching too. Ive got my Grade 8, passed with a few marks off a distinction! Whoo! I play around 6 hours a day, everyday, (hardcore!) and have played with countless amounts of musicians, and met people like Paul Gilbert, virtuoso guitarist from Mr Big and Racer X, awesome guitarist-Johhny Hiland and session musicians such as Andy Baker.
Playing music seems to come naturally to me. I consider myself a very technical player, who is flexible in what he plays, able to approach any piece of music whether it be jazz, rock, metal, classical, blues and even country, and play the piece with a knowledge of theory, and practice.
Playing guitar is my passion and more than just a hobby to me. In my eyes I see it as a future for me, and a very promising one at that. I have written music and performed or even just jammed with instrumentalists such as cellists, bassists, other guitarists, countless drummers, pianists and saxophonists. Im looking to be a full time high end session player in the future and being able to carry on playing guitar as a profession!
